Hemorrhoids. It’s a secret nobody would not like to share. Even for those who have been suffering the pain down there. That’s why most of us would succumb to over the counter ointments for instant pain relief. What if you have hemorrhoids?
Well, they are effective but that’s what they provide instant pain relief and unfortunately, it’s temporary. Over the counter ointments or drugs for hemorrhoids treatment are truly effective but have a also the potential to create side effects that we don’t like. Examples of which are itching and burning sensation not only in the anal area but also on the sensitive genital parts.
Here’s what alternative doctors would say for the all natural relief for hemorrhoids.
To shrink swollen tissues around the anal area, butcher’s broom herb is recommended. To make an ointment, mix 10 to 15 drops of butchers broom tincture of the powder from the capsules into a small container of beeswax.
Vitamin E and aloe vera gel may also be added to help reduce the inflammation and speed healing. Butchers broom may also be prepared and taken as a tea. Boil a cup or two of water then add ½ teaspoon of the herb and steep for 10 minutes. Drink like tea.
For prevention of hemorrhoids, we try to strengthen the veins around the anal canal. You can achieve this by taking flavonoids either from supplements or from fresh fruits and vegetables.
Getting comfort from a hot bath? How about sitting on one? A hot sitz bath is a tub of warm water where you will seat for at least 10 minutes a day. The affected area will be exposed to warm steam thereby increasing the circulation of the area and facilitate healing.
Finally, for easier and pain free episode to the bathroom, try to make your stools softer by taking psyllium seeds. These seeds increase the bulk but softens the stool. Drink more than 8 glasses a day and maintain hygiene down there to avoid infections.
