Oily skin

Oily skin

Tired of always having to wipe off that sheen from your face? Having oily skin can be quite bothersome – especially if it’s coupled with acne breakouts!

I have wrote an articles  awhile ago about dealing with oily skin and Oily skin can be caused by many factors from climates and weather temperatures to your genes. Yes, sadly, having oily skin is hereditary and can be passed on from generation to generation. Here are a few things that you can try to help get rid of oily skin.

  • Salt Spray

Dissolve 1 tablespoon of salt into a 400ml spray bottle of water. Use it on your face daily and make sure to dry it off. Do not forget to close your eyes while using salt spray – otherwise, you’d end up with a much bigger problem!

  • Iced Milk

Dip an ice cube in milk and apply it onto your face. The cool temperature will help close up the pores and the milk will help alleviate oiliness in your face. Make sure to rinse off with cold water after.

  • Baking Soda

Combine half a teaspoon of baking soda and 300ml of liquid soap. Use it on your T zone (forehead, nose and chin) by gently rubbing it in. Wash it off with cool water and pat dry.

  • Cornstarch

Make a paste out of cornstarch and water. Rub the paste gently on your face and let it dry. After the paste has dried off, rinse your face with lukewarm water.

  • Egg Yolk

Apply egg yolk onto your face and let it sit for 15 minutes. You may also use cotton balls and dip it into the egg yolk if you are hesitant to apply it on your whole face. Rinse off with cool water.

Bladder infection

Bladder infection

A shotgun remedy is the frequent prescription for cystitis or bladder infection. It means that the doctor will give you some broad spectrum antibiotics which will kill all the bacteria in your system, including the good ones.

The bacteria which causes cystitis is called E.coli which unfortunately some drugs cannot cure the recurrent bladder infection. On the other hand. E.coli can develop and survive in antibiotic resistant breed.

There are instances though that antibiotics should be given to patients with this infection specially if the patient has fever.

But in many cases, you can successfully treat infection by using a powerful array of alternative home remedies.

There is an off the wall remedy called cranberry or blue berry juice. It stops E.coli from sticking to the walls of the bladder thus helping to heal infection quickly.

At least 64 ounces is recommended. Magnesium citrate supplement creates alkaline urine which makes it harder for the E.coli to survive. It’s recommended to take 300 milligrams a day for this supplement for as long as there is infection.

In addition to the above remedy, Zinc is also recommended to strengthen up the immune system, helping it fight off the infection. There are also some powerful herbs that are known to help beat the bladder infection.

Lastly, there are times when taking the shotgun antibiotics is the only way to help treat the bladder infection or cystitis. Thus, it is important to replace the good bacteria that were also killed during this process.
