Tired of always having to wipe off that sheen from your face? Having oily skin can be quite bothersome – especially if it’s coupled with acne breakouts!
I have wrote an articles awhile ago about dealing with oily skin and Oily skin can be caused by many factors from climates and weather temperatures to your genes. Yes, sadly, having oily skin is hereditary and can be passed on from generation to generation. Here are a few things that you can try to help get rid of oily skin.
- Salt Spray
Dissolve 1 tablespoon of salt into a 400ml spray bottle of water. Use it on your face daily and make sure to dry it off. Do not forget to close your eyes while using salt spray – otherwise, you’d end up with a much bigger problem!
- Iced Milk
Dip an ice cube in milk and apply it onto your face. The cool temperature will help close up the pores and the milk will help alleviate oiliness in your face. Make sure to rinse off with cold water after.
- Baking Soda
Combine half a teaspoon of baking soda and 300ml of liquid soap. Use it on your T zone (forehead, nose and chin) by gently rubbing it in. Wash it off with cool water and pat dry.
- Cornstarch
Make a paste out of cornstarch and water. Rub the paste gently on your face and let it dry. After the paste has dried off, rinse your face with lukewarm water.
- Egg Yolk
Apply egg yolk onto your face and let it sit for 15 minutes. You may also use cotton balls and dip it into the egg yolk if you are hesitant to apply it on your whole face. Rinse off with cool water.
