How to Beat Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

Most of the conventional doctors don’t believe that Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) exists as a disease and this reality is sad because CFS plagues a lot of people that even getting out of bed is impossible for them.

If they are correctly diagnosed having this disease, people with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome are often not cured properly. They are either given anti depressants for sleep and some exercise for energy.

This is not proper according to alternative doctors as these two prescribed cures, anti depressants and exercise might actually cause more harm than good.

They suspect that the core defect that underlies the disease is the defect in the energy furnaces around each cell which is the mitochondria. This is the part of the cell which is also called the powerhouse. Yes, do you still remember we all learned this in biology class in school?

They produce the energy inside and if they are defective then it cause the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Alternative doctors would recommend addressing the cause of this defect inside the mitochondria to address the fatigue problem.

The mitochondria need some elements to help them produce energy. They must be fed with magnesium and malic acid to help them convert glucose to ATP, or the chemical energy form formed inside the cells. You can buy these supplements from health stores and make sure to follow the dosage on the label.

Another familiar supplement for me is coenzyme Q10, which I make sure that is available in my daily multivitamins. Not all multivitamins have this essential element so make sure you read the label. It would help if you take it with a small amount of fat from flaxseed oil to make it more absorbable.

So think about if you also feel you have the similar situation when you wake up in the next morning?

Natural Way To Fix Chapped Lips

How to soothe chapped lips

How to soothe chapped lips

Dry chapped lips are as normal as the weather. It happens specially during hot seasons like summer. That’s why lip balms are so saleable and they come in all sorts of flavor not to mention all sorts of chemicals. Did you know that your lips are made up of epithelial cells, same as the ones in your intestine?

So basically your lips are clothed the same as the intestines yeah? Imagine your intestines brought inside out and exposed to the dry and hot season. Pretty ugly and painful right? For the lips however, the cause might not be so much about the dry weather but the elements inside your body that may be deficient.

Calcium for instance is important in binding all the cells together inside your body, specially your epithelial tissues. The cells however can’t absorb the calcium without the fatty acids found in flaxseed oil and fish that you must be consuming in certain amounts. It is recommended that you take Calcium, Magnesium twice a day on empty stomach.

When you must buy a lip balm  to fix chapped lips, avoid those containing phenol and camphor, which are ingredients found in cleaning supplies. Instead, buy those containing cocoa butter to help rehydrate your lips.

Have you ever thought that sipping HOT water could help? I was surprised when this is mentioned in a book I have read. But it makes sense in helping cure your chapped lips because heat increases circulation and by doing so, dilates your circulatory system allowing moisture and blood for that matter to reach your lips. Makes sense right? Just take a sip or two every 10 minutes to make this work.

What is saw palmetto all about?

Baldness is common among men

Baldness is common among men

Have you heard about saw palmetto? It’s a widely known secret that it can cure specifically male baldness. Some research say that male baldness is caused by the hormone called dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a by product of the male hormone testosterone, which actually kills and shrinks hair follicles.

Saw palmetto, stops DHT from binding to receptor sites at the hair follicles. There are a lot of herbal products with saw palmetto. Make sure you take the purified and concentrated one.

Some fatty acids found in flaxseed oil, sunflower and black currant oil can also be taken orally. This time, we try to save and maintain the texture of whatever is left with our hair.

These essential oils can help thicken the strands and avoid hair falls. my father personally use coconut oil for this purpose. Twice or three times a week, he applies pure coconut milk on his head and massage it gently.

Wrapping a warm towel over your head for at least 30 minutes before washing off with mild shampoo to remove some residue. Guaranteed shiny and thicker hair. And lastly, try to avoid too much stress.

No amount of remedy will save our strands if we allow too much stress to dwell in us.

Stay tuned for more.

How to deal with Oily Skin

Are you one of the many unfortunate people who are gifted with an oil depot on your face? Do you feel like leaking from inside out of your facial skin specially on hot weather seasons? Don’t fret because the only natural solution for that is, guess what?-OIL. Yes, you heard me right, to fight oily skin, use oil. Sounds ironic but true.

Oily skin affects our sense of well being. Most of the men population are particularly conscious of this condition. I must say that men are only as good as the last drop of oil on their face. Really, who would want to stay close to an oil leaking male? You know, skin care is also important among mens.

Do you know about flaxseed?

Do you know about flaxseed?

While looking gorgeous from the outside, most of us must think about what’s best for the inside and that is to include oil in our diet, the kind that contains more fatty acids. One of these is the use of flaxseed oil. This is an herbal supplement that must be taken 1 to 3 teaspoons daily. This supplement is rich in fatty acids which breaks down the saturated fats that we get from or red meats and dairy products.

How about lecithin? This is quite potent in terms of emulsifying the fats which clogs up your pores. Don’t want intakes? Then I would suggest the ever famous face steaming.

Boil a pot of water enough to produce steam. Put in a container with opening enough for your face to fit. Wash your face first and continue with the steam, after a few seconds, wash our face with cold water. Steam opens the pores and releases the dirt while the cold water seals the pores off.

There a number of ways to eliminate oily skin but whatever you do, its always best to consult the dermatologist about the oil leaking from your face. Might be a bad case of oil hike!
