A shotgun remedy is the frequent prescription for cystitis or bladder infection. It means that the doctor will give you some broad spectrum antibiotics which will kill all the bacteria in your system, including the good ones.

Lastly, there are times when taking the shotgun antibiotics is the only way to help treat the bladder infection or cystitis. Thus, it is important to replace the good bacteria that were also killed during this process.
Taking probiotic supplements with Lactobacillus acidophilus is recommended. Just follow the dosage on the label.
