Heat Rash

Heat Rash

Spring is around corner and Summer time is not too far from now. For those who work under the sun like construction workers and farmers, most of these people are often prone to sunburn and heat rash (prickly heat).  This is a redness occurring in the skin and patches like variables sizes and shapes due to excessive exposure to sunlight. Other characteristics of sunburn in severe cases is skin flaking.

Sunburn will be painful in the beginning of occurrence. There will be itchiness due to skin rashes that is occurring in the skin especially when starting to perspire.

What is the natural remedy for sunburn and prickly heat? Here are some of the useful tips.

  • Starch bath application daily for 3 – 5 days for soothing effect in your skin and relieves skin irritation.  Just prepare a basin, water, starch, bath towel, and face towel. Use a lukewarm water, melt the starch in a basin with a little amount of water then mix it into the tub with water and starch applying it to your skin using the face towel. After 20 minutes, drain the water and pat dry the starch with a dry towel. Repeat procedure at least twice a day.
  • Rain water is effective for use for shower and after bathing , just apply starch and leave it into your skin for the rest of the day.
  • Another method is an organic application of boiled guava leaves and use decoction for bath and dry it.
  • If you still feel there is itchiness on your skin, just apply a little amount of starch in the itchy part.

Hopefully these little tips helps.
